More Than Skin Deep: Exploring Beauty Across Cultures
About the film
Is beauty a political, social, or cultural matter?
Following the journeys of six people from different cultures, this film explores the universal quest for beauty.
An 82-year-old Korean woman turned model, a Brazilian favela dancer, an Ivorian activist, an Italian Paralympic athlete, a French MMA fighter, and an Indian choreographer form a mosaic of unique perspectives on the body and image.
Each in their own way pushes the boundaries of beauty and reveals its possibilities. Beauty ceases to be mere appearance and becomes an intimate, universal experience.
